The Momentum Marion County Needs As Commissioner

Marion County's current goals are Leadership, Enterprise Approach, Communication, Customer Service and Emergency Preparedness.

I will utilize my years of leadership experience within both the private and public sectors to be the momentum that Marion County needs moving forward. Through effective collaboration, the use of direct communication, as well as transparency and accountability, I will work to advocate for and support our local business owners and economic activity. Additionally, I will strive to be a model steward of public resources and provide equitable and reliable resources to our community. Ensuring that Marion County residents obtain the quality of services they deserve from their county's elected officials.

Over the past few years, I have assisted in developing and implementing several state, or federal public assistance programs for multiple agencies. In my role as an Operations and Policy Analyst for the State of Oregon during the COVID-19 pandemic I became well versed on what it takes to prepare for emergency situations. I promise as your next County Commissioner to bring forward this expertise and guidance as to ensure the continued health and safety of our communities; both physically and economically.

It goes without saying that I am eager to utilize my work experience background for the benefit of our county. This desire is paired with my education and accolades which I believe have best prepared me for this role. Currently, I am obtaining my master’s degree in Public Policy from Oregon State University. As an undergraduate I obtained two bachelor’s degrees: one in Economics and the other in Sociology. I am familiar with how communities thrive as a group and what it takes to be economically successful.  I believe I will represent Marion County with integrity with my expertise in public policy and administration.

With these points in mind, I humbly ask for your support and Vote as your Marion County Commissioner, Position 1. As your commissioner my focus will be on the following:

• Increasing access to affordable housing within our communities. ​

• Collaborating with local organizations to create solutions which adequately address the needs of individuals experiencing housing instability and homelessness in our county.

• Seeking sustainable business practices and accountability measures which help Marion County set the standards for pro-environment policy.

• Support the individuals and organizations which assist in childhood education and development. Expanding resources to parents within the community and properly invest in our education system.
